Job Description
This opportunity is for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position serving a K-12 school district located in Hesperia, CA, with additional postings in Chino, CA and Corona, CA. The role focuses on providing direct and indirect speech-language services to students from PreK through 12th grade within the district. This contract position is slated to start as soon as possible, with exact duration and caseload details forthcoming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine speech and language needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Deliver both direct therapy and indirect consultation services to support student communication goals
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to monitor progress and modify interventions
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with educational regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and special education regulations
- Ability to provide services to a diverse student body across multiple grade levels
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with school personnel and families
Location and Schedule:
- Position based primarily in Hesperia, CA with considerations for Chino and Corona locations
- Full-time hours, approximately 32.5 to 37.5 hours per week
- On-site work preferred to replace existing virtual service delivery model
