This contract opportunity offers the flexibility to choose between onsite and virtual work while serving elementary through middle school students. With a manageable caseload of 45 to 50 students, you will collaborate closely with dedicated educators and families, empowering students to reach their communication and academic goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- Experience in school settings, particularly with pediatric and school-age populations
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing and implementing IEPs, and delivering both individual and group therapy
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and staff
- Passionate about fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary and middle school students
- Create and follow therapeutic interventions tailored to each students needs
- Complete comprehensive assessments, progress updates, and documentation as mandated
- Work collaboratively with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student development
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to guide team decisions
- Remain current with best practices and continue professional development
