Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist supporting students ranging from elementary through middle school. In this onsite or virtual position, youll make a meaningful impact working with a diverse caseload of approximately 45 to 50 students, helping them achieve communication and academic success.
Ideal candidates are passionate about pediatric speech-language services within the school setting, and bring a thoughtful, team-oriented approach to therapy planning and delivery. You'll contribute to a collaborative educational environment and have a direct hand in supporting students as they develop critical communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Current Virginia Speech Language Pathologist license
- Experience working with elementary or middle school students preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP process, speech/language assessments, and therapy delivery in educational contexts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Familiarity with virtual platforms for teletherapy (if considering virtual placement)
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized speech/language goals for each student on your caseload
- Provide direct therapy services, both individually and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student success
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with school and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert insight regarding student needs
