A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide specialized pre-K intake assessment services and FMLA coverage at an elementary school in Hayward, CA. This role requires on-site presence and offers a contract through the current school year, ending June 3, 2026. The position is ideal for experienced SLPs with appropriate licensure and credentials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-K intake assessments exclusively; no clinical fellows (CFs) will be considered.
- Provide coverage for an existing SLP on FMLA leave at Ortega Elementary.
- Manage a 40-hour workweek with direct student interaction in person.
Qualifications:
- Speech-Language Pathologist licensure issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) in California.
- Clear or Professional Speech Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) preferred but not required.
- Experience working in school settings serving elementary-aged students.
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or bilingual skills are highly preferred.
- Must be able to work exclusively on-site; voice-over-conference (VOCO) is not permitted.
