Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a K-12 educational setting in Hayward, CA. This contract position runs through the school year and focuses on delivering essential speech and language support to students, ensuring their academic success and communication development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing speech and language therapy services aligned with individual student IEPs
  • Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
  • Developing, implementing, and updating IEPs in collaboration with education teams and families
  • Offering bilingual communication support as required
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with district regulations
  • Collaborating with special education staff to create a supportive learning environment

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Current California Speech-Language Pathology license with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
  • Experience in pediatric SLP services, preferably within school settings
  • Effective communication skills to work with diverse student populations and families
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with IDEA and special education protocols

This role provides a 37.5-hour full-time weekly schedule and involves service delivery within K-12 schools. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom and the onboarding process includes standard state requirements.
