Job Description
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized services in a K-12 school setting in Hayward, CA. This contract position runs from ASAP through possibly the end of February and requires onsite work across two school sitesone elementary and one middle school. The caseload will be up to 55 students, currently at 48, offering a dynamic and diverse clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in elementary and middle school settings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student evaluations.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and district requirements.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and mentorship opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Valid California license for Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) required.
- Certification status such as SLP - Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or SLP - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (40 hours per week).
- Work onsite at two school locations in Hayward, California.
