Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active North Carolina SLP license required
  • NC DPI Special Service Personnel School SLP Credential necessary
  • Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and those holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Experience or preparedness to serve school-based populations
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative abilities
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver direct therapy and consultation for students with diverse speech and language needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to support students progress
  • Monitor and document student outcomes and adjust interventions as needed
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and provide training or support for school staff
