Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential support in a school-based setting located near Hartford, CT. This full-time contract role begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, with a standard schedule of 8:15am-3:45pm (30-minute unpaid break) across a single campus. The caseload consists of approximately 40-45 students, focusing on mild to moderate disabilitiesincluding speech and fluency concerns, expressive language weaknesses, and a handful of students with more significant needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current and valid SLP license issued by the state of Connecticut
  • Open to Speech-Language Pathologists who are ASHA CCC-certified or in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Previous experience providing speech-language services in schools is preferred
  • Experience or comfort working with a range of disabilities from mild to moderate, including LLD, expressive/receptive issues, and fluency disorders
  • Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating in PPT meetings
  • Willingness to participate in evaluations and targeted direct therapy

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language services to students according to their IEPs
  • Conduct evaluations and standardized testing as required
  • Participate in planning and placement team (PPT) meetings with staff and families
  • Complete required documentation in a timely manner
  • Utilize provided laptop and materials for therapy and case management
  • Option to work hybrid if desired and approved
