With part-time hours totaling 22.25 per week, youll support students communication skills and collaborate with dedicated educational professionals.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut SLP License is required
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with high school-aged students
- Strong background in pediatric speech-language pathology; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are encouraged to apply
- Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior exposure to both educational and healthcare SLPA environments is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students with speech and language needs
- Develop individualized goals and therapeutic plans for high school-aged students
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services within school settings
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to ensure continuity of care and maximize student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with state and school guidelines
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student goal-setting
