A full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant is needed to support K-5th grade students in a school setting located in Hartford, CT. This contract role focuses on assisting with speech and language services under the supervision of a certified Speech Language Pathologist, contributing to student communication development and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in grades K-5.
• Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals.
• Assist in administering screenings and assessments for speech and language disorders.

Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut SLPA license.
• Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings.
• Knowledge of speech-language pathology principles and therapy techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt therapy methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Familiarity with teletherapy methods is a plus but not mandatory.
