Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist across K-12 programs in a vibrant school setting near Hanover, PA. Two onsite SLPs are currently needed to collaborate with dedicated educators and families throughout the district to provide services that empower students of all abilities. This is a contract opportunity during the upcoming school year, running from August 18, 2026 to May 27, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour workweek.
Your expertise will help shape individual student growth: from elementary children in regular education and autism support (caseload of 50-55) to secondary students needing learning support, life skills guidance, and autistic support (caseload of approximately 60, with several on reduced service delivery). Responsibilities also include case management, particularly at the elementary level.
Ideal candidates should bring:
- Active Pennsylvania SLP certification and teaching certificate (please include both with your resume)
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC)
- Prior experience in a school-based SLP role
- Strong understanding of diverse K-12 caseloads, including students requiring autism support and life skills intervention
- Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative approach to working with fellow professionals
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct and consultative language and speech therapy to students K-12
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Supporting students communication goals through evidence-based interventions
- Documenting progress, engaging in appropriate case management, and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
