Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Michigan SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Experience working with school-aged children, ideally across diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong collaboration skills to engage with teachers, parents, and school personnel
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat articulation, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations to inform case management and intervention plans
- Develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to students academic and developmental needs
- Document student progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Partner with teachers, staff, and family members to support student outcomes and provide consultation
- Deliver both individual and small-group therapy sessions, adapting methods to diverse learners
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal educational and health regulations
