Key Qualifications:
- Active Virginia SLP license, or pending license (must be effective by August)
- Proven experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting
- Familiarity with supporting students exhibiting complex behavioral disorders
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Commitment to documenting progress and tailoring interventions to each childs needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group speech/language therapy to elementary students
- Assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans in line with IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, aides, and other specialists to foster student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute recommendations, and communicate clearly with families
- Maintain accurate records and adapt interventions for classroom and inclusion settings
