Qualifications:
- Active Virginia SLP license, or pending licensure (must be eligible by August)
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience working in elementary school settings preferred
- Comfort and skill in supporting students with significant behavioral disorders
- Team-player with strong communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy services to elementary students
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and adjust goals as needed
- Collaborate frequently with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home
- Maintain timely documentation and ensure compliance with all state and district requirements
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to both inclusive and self-contained classroom environments
