Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina Speech Language Pathologist license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience in schools is preferred, though clinicians eager to move into a school-based setting are welcome
- Open to SLPs with backgrounds in healthcare, pediatrics, teletherapy, and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Genuine passion for supporting and advocating for student development
- Strong communication skills, adaptability, and commitment to professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to K-12 students, fostering communication skills vital to academic and social success
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and other professionals
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and provide recommendations tailored to student needs
- Engage actively with families, sharing insights and strategies for continued support outside the classroom
- Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices and maintain licensure
