Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Special Education Teaching Certification required
- Experience or familiarity with speech-language pathology in educational settings is a plus
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, learning accommodations, and differentiated instruction
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to adapt to individual student needs across a variety of grades
- Comfortable utilizing technology for teletherapy and virtual services if needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to K-12th grade students in alignment with IEP goals
- Conduct and participate in assessments, team meetings, and progress evaluations
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, counselors, and educators to support student development
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to foster academic, behavioral, and social growth
- Maintain accurate documentation as required by school and regulatory guidelines
- Provide ongoing communication with families, encouraging involvement and advocacy
