Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech Language Pathologist during an engaging summer session. This contract assignment runs from July 6th to August 14th, with a manageable schedule of 27.5 hours per week (8:15am to 2:15pm, Monday through Friday). Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students in a school environment.
- Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to address communication and language needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and IEP goals.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of therapy sessions, student progress, and required documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals, therapy activities, and progress.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP planning for assigned students.
Qualifications:
- Current New York State Speech Language Pathologist license (NY SLP license required).
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates accepted.
- Previous experience working with elementary school students preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Passion for fostering student growth in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
