Step into an engaging school-based opportunity supporting students communication and language development. This full-time contract position runs from July 27, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering a chance to make a significant impact in the lives of children and their educational communities.
As a skilled speech-language pathologist, your expertise will be instrumental in fostering each students potential and collaborating closely with educators and families. You will serve as a vital advocate and resource, shaping positive educational outcomes across K-12 settings.
Ideal qualifications include:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association
- North Carolina Department of Public Instruction G License required
- (Optional) License from the Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
- Prior experience supporting school-aged students is desirable
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide screening, testing, diagnosing, and advisement related to student speech and language needs
- Develop and lead individualized treatment plans tailored to each students unique needs
- Maintain compliance with state and federal reporting requirements and documentation
- Oversee planning and progress tracking for students receiving speech-language services
- Serve as a collaborative consultant to teachers, school staff, and parents
- Engage actively in IEP meetings and multi-disciplinary teams
