Job Description

As a full-time SLP on a contract basis, youll be stepping in to cover a maternity leave from late August through the end of November, managing a traditional SLP caseload. Your expertise working with pediatric populations and familiarity with school-based settings will help you thrive in this engaging educational community.

Desired Experience:

  • Active SLP license in New Jersey with CCC required
  • Experience serving pediatric and/or school-aged populations
  • Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt to multiple school sites if needed (itinerant role possible)
  • Organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation efficiently

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students, following IEP mandates and educational best practices
  • Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and ongoing assessments as appropriate
  • Participate in IEP meetings, maintain timely documentation, and collaborate with educators and families
  • Contribute to preventative and intervention programming within the school setting
  • Provide information and recommendations to support student success in communication and academics
  • Travel between assigned schools may be required (number of schools to be determined)
