Job Description

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in the Albany, NY area, beginning in May. This travel position requires an onsite professional to support a non-verbal caseload within a school setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy services to school-aged children with communication disorders, focusing primarily on non-verbal students.
  • Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and implement therapy interventions tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and modify strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to program development.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Experience working in school settings or with non-verbal pediatric caseloads.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work onsite and independently, providing consistent and effective therapy services.

Location:

  • Onsite role in Guilderland Center, NY, with travel to Albany, NY.
