Make a meaningful impact on students lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting school-aged children in a dynamic educational setting. This contract position focuses on delivering tailored pediatric speech therapy and language services, collaborating with talented educators and diverse student populations.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP licensure (or eligibility) and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience providing pediatric speech therapy, ideally in a school environment
- Strong evaluation, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills for children with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEP development and documentation, including progress notes and reporting
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and professional standards
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and diagnostics for students with communication concerns
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
- Maintain thorough documentation for IEP meetings and progress monitoring
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
- Provide direct and indirect therapy sessions (individual, small group, classroom push-in as appropriate)
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and ongoing professional development
- Support school initiatives for inclusion and accessibility in communication
