Step into a rewarding opportunity to support students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist in a contract role for the upcoming school year. Set just outside the vibrant New Orleans area, this full-time, onsite assignment provides a chance to make a meaningful impact in educational settings serving diverse learners.
Your expertise will be utilized throughout the school calendar, with 35 hours each week, Monday through Friday. The specific caseload, number of school assignments, and age groups will be determined, ensuring a tailored match between your skills and the needs of the students.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state licensure or eligibility in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Previous experience supporting students within school settings is highly valued
- Completion of drug screening and fingerprinting per district and agency requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, adapting approaches to individual needs
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to develop and implement IEPs and support communication goals
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and federal guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and ongoing professional development
