Job Description
Make a positive impact supporting students in the New Orleans area as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to support student communication development within a collaborative, educational environment. Youll work closely with educators and families to provide services tailored to individual student needs across multiple campuses, with the specific caseload to be determined prior to assignment.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (required)
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous school-based experience is a plus, but all qualified SLPs are encouraged to apply
- Ability to pass district credentialing protocols, including drug screening and fingerprinting
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to students, focusing on individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Conduct assessments and develop data-driven therapy plans for students across a range of age groups
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support students educational and therapeutic needs
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
- Work Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, following the school district calendar
