Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting the communication needs of students through the 2026-2027 school year in a dynamic educational setting near Indianapolis, IN. This onsite role focuses primarily on conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for a caseload of approximately 5070 students, while also offering opportunities for close collaboration with an experienced SLP colleague who specializes in supporting nonverbal life skills students.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric speech therapy preferred
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Collaborative and flexible approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting detailed speech-language evaluations to determine student needs and eligibility
- Developing individualized recommendations and educational supports based on assessment findings
- Collaborating closely with another SLP to support nonverbal and life skills students
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes
- Communicating progress and strategies with teachers, staff, and families
