Job Description

Step into an enriching contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational setting near Indianapolis, IN. This onsite role begins in early August 2026 and continues through June 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on students communication abilities while working alongside a dedicated team.

As the primary SLP responsible for evaluations, youll manage a caseload of approximately 5070 students, focusing on assessments and collaborating closely with another experienced SLP. Many students youll support are nonverbal and have significant life skills needs, making every day both rewarding and purposeful. This full-time position provides 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to immerse yourself fully within the school community and make a notable difference.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials is required
  • Previous school-based experience is highly desirable
  • Comfortable performing comprehensive speech-language evaluations
  • Demonstrable skills in collaborating with other SLPs and educational staff
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language evaluations for a diverse caseload of students
  • Work in tandem with another SLP, particularly supporting nonverbal life skills students
  • Participate in team meetings, contribute to IEP development, and maintain necessary documentation
  • Communicate regularly with faculty and families to optimize student outcomes
