Qualifications:

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility) for SLP in Louisiana
  • Recent school-based SLP experience preferred; however, open to new graduates with strong clinical skills
  • Understanding of IEP development, therapy documentation, and progress monitoring
  • Comfort in providing services across multiple school sites and age groups
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for working with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat students with a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Deliver direct therapy services in group and individual settings
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student development
  • Maintain thorough and timely student records and progress documentation
  • Engage with families, educators, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
