You'll be working onsite, closely engaging with a manageable caseload of nine students and collaborating with educators within a supportive school community. The role is part-time, offering a consistent weekly schedule of seven hoursideal for those balancing multiple commitments or seeking to gain valuable school-based experience.
What we're looking for:
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CF) are encouraged to apply
- Experience or interest in working with K-2 students in a school-based setting
- Commitment to supporting students with special education needs
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Availability to participate in New Hire Orientation from August 12th to 14th
- Ability to work onsite for the duration of the contract
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to K-2 students according to individual education plans (IEPs)
- Assess, document, and report student progress
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to ensure holistic support
- Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development
- Uphold ethical and state-mandated standards for practice
