Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in a collaborative, onsite setting. This full-time, contract position offers 35 hours per week for the 2026-2027 school year with multiple openings now available. Youll begin with a comprehensive new hire orientation and work alongside a dedicated team serving students with varying needscaseloads and grade levels will be finalized prior to start.
Your expertise will help shape student communication skills, facilitating their learning and participation. Candidates with an active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) are required for considerationplease include screenshots verifying both credentials with your application. Clinicians seeking their Clinical Fellowship (CF) year with strong competencies are encouraged to apply.
What were looking for:
- Active Illinois Speech Language Pathology license (verification required)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois (verification required)
- CCC-SLP credentials; strong Clinical Fellows (CF) will be considered
- SLP experience with K-12 school populations preferred
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to onsite service provision (remote work is not available)
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments for students
- Designing and implementing individualized therapy plans
- Working as part of multidisciplinary teams to develop IEP goals
- Direct intervention and consultation with teachers and families
- Maintaining thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and district requirements
