A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to provide expert services to K-12 learners, collaborating with special education teams and families to create successful learning experiences. Qualifications & Skills:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current SLP license, or eligibility, for practice within South Carolina
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFs will be considered
- Experience with evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy for a variety of communication disorders in school-aged children
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
- Collaborative spirit, with a focus on student progress and individualized supports
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students referred by educational staff or parents
- Develop personalized therapy plans based on evaluation results and IEP team collaboration
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions in individual and small group settings
- Maintain detailed records and progress documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering expertise and advocacy for students communication needs
- Provide support and consultation to classroom teachers and families for carry-over of communication strategies
