A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support within a school setting in Grand Rapids, MI. This role focuses on delivering specialized speech and language therapy services to students, helping them overcome communication challenges and enhance their academic performance and social interactions.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to student services
- Participate in meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLP in Michigan
- Experience working in school-based settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
