Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in an innovative autism program at the elementary level. This full-time role runs from August 17, 2026, to September 4, 2026, covering maternity leave. The position is based onsite in a collaborative, student-centered environment where your expertise can make a meaningful difference.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous school-based SLP experience, particularly with elementary-aged students
- Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and relevant intervention strategies
- Proficiency designing and delivering individualized student care plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy services for students in an elementary autism program
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized education and treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators to integrate communication goals within the classroom
- Maintain detailed documentation aligned with school and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Offer consultative support to staff and families regarding communication strategies
