Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This position focuses on providing services at a single school site, working with kindergarten through fifth graders in a collaborative setting with educators and families. The assignment runs from now through May 22, 2025, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week and an average caseload of 55 students.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Current Arizona SLP License
- Arizona Department of Health SLP License
- Valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card, or ability to obtain and maintain one
- SLP-CCC credential required
- Experience in K-5 educational settings preferred
- Candidate must be a fully licensed SLP (no CFYs or SLPAs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to K-5 students
- Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, voice, and language impairments
- Interpret evaluation results and plan interventions
- Review and validate outside evaluations and recommendations
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students on your caseload
- Provide individualized therapy programs to meet diverse student needs
- Support and advise teachers in identifying students with suspected impairments
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
- Maintain thorough records and documentation for all students
- Address additional related tasks as assigned
