Ideal candidates will possess a background in school-based SLP services and bring knowledge of best practices in pediatric speech therapy. Compassion, adaptability, and excellent communication skills are key as you collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement effective therapy plans.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY status considered
- Demonstrated experience with pediatric or school-aged populations
- Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Strong organizational and time management strategies
- Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions
- Track student progress; adjust goals and interventions as necessary
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and ongoing evaluation
