Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Current and active New Mexico license for Speech-Language Pathology
  • Previous school-based SLP experience is preferred, supporting effective navigation of the academic environment
  • Skilled in evaluation, diagnosis, and development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and educational staff
  • Adaptability in working with children and adolescents across a variety of grade levels

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Work closely with teachers and administrative staff to develop and implement appropriate treatment strategies
  • Manage a caseload of elementary, middle, and high school students
  • Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Deliver direct therapy in both individual and group sessions, adjusting approaches to fit each students needs
