This contract opportunity is located in the Glen Allen, VA area and features a supportive school environment focused on student growth and success.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Valid state SLP licensure or eligibility in Virginia
- Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred
- Strong rapport-building skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to develop creative therapy plans tailored to various needs
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support educational goals
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of progress, sessions, and interventions
- Provide both direct therapy and consultation services in accordance with school protocols
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff conferences, and ongoing professional development
