What you'll need:
- Valid Speech Language Pathology license in New York (NY SLP License)
- Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) Certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior school-based SLP experience preferred (especially with elementary populations)
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills
Your key responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to elementary students, both individually and in groups
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with classroom teachers and other specialists
- Conduct thorough assessments and maintain accurate documentation of student progress
- Consult with families, teachers, and support staff to address student needs
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to a positive, student-centered environment
