Job Description

A Speech Language Pathologist opportunity is available in Gastonia, NC, serving a school district that values supportive collaboration and professional growth. Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in California (CA SLP License)
  • ASHA Certification strongly preferred, with school-based experience a plus
  • Experience with pediatric and school-aged caseloads
  • Capability to provide both in-person and teletherapy services considered an asset

Position Details:

  • Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
  • Caseloads include:
    • One position focused on PreK students, providing itinerant services across the district
    • One position working directly within an elementary school setting

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and implement therapy for students with communication disorders
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Deliver services in compliance with district policies and state regulations
  • Utilize teletherapy options effectively when applicable to enhance service delivery
