A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a school district in Gastonia, NC. This role offers a contract position working 40 hours per week, five days a week, providing comprehensive speech therapy services to a diverse student population. Ideal candidates will have experience working in school settings and hold a current CA SLP license.
Location: Gastonia, NC 28053
Position Type: Contract (with travel options including untaxed stipends)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Caseload:
- One position primarily serving a PreK itinerant caseload across the district
- One position serving students at an elementary school
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current CA Speech Language Pathologist license
- Experience working in schools strongly preferred (ASHA Certification in Schools is a plus)
- Pediatric SLP experience beneficial
- Teletherapy and clinical fellowship year (CFY) experience considered an asset
- Comfort working within healthcare and educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language evaluation and intervention services to children in school and itinerant settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Utilize teletherapy and in-person approaches as needed
- Track student progress and document therapy outcomes in compliance with district policies
