Job Description

Shape meaningful learning experiences as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting students across multiple elementary campuses in the Gastonia, NC area. This contract opportunity is confirmed open with a start date as soon as possible, continuing through May 21st, 2025. Youll serve as a critical part of a dynamic team focused on fostering communication skills, both in person and through teletherapy modalities, for diverse school-based caseloadsincluding Pre-K, extension, itinerant, and Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.

Your expertise will be valued across elementary settings, with travel between sites compensated, and a healthy balance of direct and indirect service timeincluding paid participation in team meetings and administrative planning. You'll also have the chance to mentor, as this assignment may involve supervising an SLPA.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
  • Valid North Carolina SLP licensure (or eligibility)
  • CCC-SLP credentials or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidacy welcomed
  • Experience in school-based and/or pediatric SLP services
  • Familiarity with IEP systems and teletherapy platforms a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and adaptability for multi-site caseloads

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative therapy to students per IEP goals
  • Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Supervise and support SLPAs as required
  • Engage in team meetings, professional development, and training as provided by the district
