Job Description
A contract position is available for two Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to serve elementary and middle school populations in Gary, IN for the 2026-2027 academic year. This opportunity offers hands-on experience working across multiple schools with a diverse caseload.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy services to students in elementary and middle school settings.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 45-55 students.
- For the first SLP: service delivery across one elementary and one middle school building.
- For the second SLP: service delivery across two middle school buildings.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Keep detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school district policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology licensure.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
- Experience working within school-based settings is strongly desired.
- Skilled in utilizing speech-language pathology best practices and assessment tools.
- Ability to work effectively with students across various ages and developmental levels.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

- Gary, Indiana
Hours:
- 37.5 hours per week
Contract Period:
- Start Date: August 2026 (to be determined)
- End Date: May 2027 (to be determined)
