A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available in Massachusetts for the upcoming academic year, offering both full and part-time contract options. This role involves working with K-12 students, providing essential support and services to help them achieve their communication goals in a dynamic educational setting.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Massachusetts SLP license
- Experience in a K-12 school environment preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Comfortable working with students with diverse needs and backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication challenges among K-12 students
- Develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote student success
- Maintain accurate records, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings
- Deliver both direct and consultative services as required by student IEPs
- Provide guidance and support to staff regarding communication disorders
