Discover a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting students from PreK through 12th grade. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload in a school-based setting, making a significant difference in the lives of young learners. The contract dates run from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, and youll be based near Gainesville, FL, in Chiefland, FL.
Your expertise will help students achieve their communication and academic goals while collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals. This dynamic role is ideal for SLPs who are passionate about fostering speech and language development, whether youre a Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidate or hold your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Speech Language Pathologist license
- Ability to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged populations, PreK-12
- SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or School SLP background preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational skills for managing IEPs and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized IEP goals
- Maintain thorough records and progress reports
- Offer consultation to teachers and parents for student support
- Participate in IEP meetings and student evaluations
