Make a positive impact by supporting students communication skills and growth as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist working in a K-12 school environment for the upcoming full academic year. This onsite, contract position keeps you engaged with a manageable caseload of approximately 25-30 students, giving you the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and create lasting success for learners of all ages.
In this role, youll collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and implement individualized therapy within a school setting. With a consistent weekly schedule totaling 37.5 hours, youll benefit from stable, full-time hours while working at just one school locationproviding steady, focused support to your caseload throughout the entire 2026-2027 academic year, from August through June.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License for the state of Maine
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or eligibility preferred
- Previous experience in school settings, ideally serving K-12 populations
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with school staff and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and deliver direct therapy to K-12 students
- Document progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support teams
- Adapt therapy methods to suit student needs in the academic environment
- Advocate for students speech and language development within the school community
