Job Description

A full-time opportunity is open for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to work with a diverse student population at the elementary level, starting at the beginning of the school year and continuing through October. Youll play an important part in helping students with varying behavioral needs and communication challenges achieve greater academic and social success.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license (CCC required)
  • Proven experience in pediatric or school-based SLP settings
  • Strong knowledge in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a range of communication disorders
  • Ability to work independently, as no supervision will be provided
  • Skilled in collaborating with educators, administrators, and families
  • Organized, reliable, and enthusiastic about making a difference for students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy to students with various behavioral and communication needs
  • Administer assessments, develop IEP goals, and document student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with school staff to support student growth
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and adapt strategies as needed
  • Communicate regularly with caregivers and multidisciplinary school teams
  • Maintain thorough and accurate student records as required by state and district guidelines
