Job Description

This flexible contract opportunity focuses on providing direct support to one 15-year-old student at the high school level, utilizing your skillset in speech-language pathology within a school setting. Work closely with the IEP team to implement and adapt targeted intervention, leveraging your PROMPT certification for meaningful impact.

What Youll Bring:

  • Active ME state license for Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
  • PROMPT certification is essential for this position
  • Experience working in schools or with adolescent students preferred
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to evolving student needs, and follow district guidelines

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to a high school student, 45 minutes per week, as specified by the IEP team
  • Employ PROMPT therapy techniques according to best practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and communication with the IEP team
  • Attend virtual meetings as part of student support and progress reviews
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support
  • Comply with all school, district, and state policies and procedures, including confidentiality and recordkeeping
