Job Description

Step into a rewarding role serving students as a Speech-Language Pathologist with opportunities across elementary, middle, and high school levels in the Washington DC metro area (just 45 minutes south of the city). This full-time contract runs from August 2026 through May 2027, offering diverse caseloads and a chance to make a real impact supporting communication development for learners of all ages.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current, active Speech-Language Pathology license in the state of Virginia
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Willingness to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including a VA Department of Social Services background check and TB test prior to your start date
  • Ability to manage varying student needs and balance responsibilities across assigned schools

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in accordance with their IEPs
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to determine individual needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals
  • Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
  • Offer support and guidance for teachers regarding language and communication development
