This contract position invites you to make a meaningful difference across three unique settings: in-home support for a 4th-grade student, school-based services for a 2nd grader, and short-term assistance for students at a private day school, all within North Virginias vibrant educational landscape.

Enjoy part-time hours10 to 15 per weekperfect for balancing professional growth with personal commitments. The assignment begins as soon as possible and will continue through late May 2026, offering stability and continuity for both you and the students you serve.

Ideal candidates bring compassion, adaptability, and a keen willingness to collaborate with other educational professionals and families. On-site presence is required, and virtual services are not an option for this engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia SLP license is essential
  • Experience working in school settings is highly desirable, but recent graduates with strong clinical skills are also encouraged to apply
  • Comfortable traveling between school sites and in-home assignments within the service area
  • Completion of a VA Department of Social Services background check and a TB test (to be started immediately upon offer)
  • A commitment to building positive relationships with elementary-aged students

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy/services tailored to students individualized education goals
  • Document progress and maintain records in compliance with school district and state guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with educators, families, and district staff
  • Adapt intervention strategies to meet the unique needs of each setting

Compensation for this role is experience-based, ranging from $46 to $58 per hour for qualified applicants.
