Embrace the opportunity to make a significant impact as a school-based Speech Language Pathologist working on-site with an engaging group of elementary students. This contract position offers the chance to join a collaborative environment where your expertise will help young learners find their voice and reach their academic potential. Youll work with a diverse caseload of approximately 45 elementary-aged students, providing both assessment and intervention to support communication skills in the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina Speech Language Pathologist License (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certification (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
- Strong understanding of pediatric speech and language disorders
- Experience in school-based settings or a passion for working with children
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech/language therapy services to elementary students onsite
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, develop IEP goals, and maintain detailed progress records
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary student support teams
- Educate families on carryover strategies and student progress
- Stay current with best practices by engaging in professional development
