Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and staff in vibrant school environments near Fort Pierce, FL. Skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) are needed to cover essential maternity leave assignments for the 2026-2027 school year. With one assignment at a K-8 school and another at the high school level, youll make a daily impact while collaborating onsite with another SLP or an SLPA.
Expect a well-structured schedule, working onsite 35 hours weekly (7 hours per day, Monday through Friday). Each assignment will focus on one campus, allowing you to give students individualized attention during your contract period. Whether working alongside an experienced SLP or SLPA, youll engage with age-diverse caseloads, including students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in K-8 or providing vital services for high schoolers.
Requirements:
- Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) licensure
- Experience with school-based or pediatric caseloads preferred
- Ability to collaborate on multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Time-sensitive local fingerprinting requirement (previous prints with AHCA Clearinghouse may expedite process)
- Comfort working with ASD and varied age groups (K-12)
Role Highlights:
- Provide assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for students in need of speech and language support
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in accordance with district and federal guidelines
- Partner closely with on-site SLPs, SLPAs, teachers, and families
- Document services and progress using school systems
