Job Description

Make a meaningful impact this school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with a welcoming middle school caseload. This contract opportunity spans the duration of the current academic year, with full-time hours, Monday through Friday, mirroring the school district calendar. The position is located in a supportive environment near Fort Pierce, FL, where you'll collaborate closely with dedicated educators and other specialists to ensure student progress and success.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC or eligibility for CFY)
  • Experience or interest in working within pediatric, middle school, or school-based settings
  • Strong clinical expertise in both direct intervention and indirect consultative services
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations and supporting individual development

You will be responsible for:

  • Assessing students speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
  • Developing individualized treatment plans and IEP goals tailored to each student's needs
  • Providing both direct therapy services and indirect support/consultation to staff and families
  • Conducting screenings and re-evaluations to monitor progress
  • Maintaining thorough documentation, compliant with district and state regulations
  • Participating in team meetings to contribute insights for continued student growth
