Make a meaningful impact this school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with a welcoming middle school caseload. This contract opportunity spans the duration of the current academic year, with full-time hours, Monday through Friday, mirroring the school district calendar. The position is located in a supportive environment near Fort Pierce, FL, where you'll collaborate closely with dedicated educators and other specialists to ensure student progress and success.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC or eligibility for CFY)
- Experience or interest in working within pediatric, middle school, or school-based settings
- Strong clinical expertise in both direct intervention and indirect consultative services
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations and supporting individual development
You will be responsible for:
- Assessing students speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
- Developing individualized treatment plans and IEP goals tailored to each student's needs
- Providing both direct therapy services and indirect support/consultation to staff and families
- Conducting screenings and re-evaluations to monitor progress
- Maintaining thorough documentation, compliant with district and state regulations
- Participating in team meetings to contribute insights for continued student growth
