Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving educational communities near Fort Myers, FL. Utilize your expertise to support communication development and enhance the learning environment for children with diverse speech and language needs.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Florida
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows may be considered
- Previous experience working in schools or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organization skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes, progress documentation, and evidence-based intervention strategies
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders among school-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs and IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student support
- Participate in IEP meetings, prepare evaluation reports, and track progress
- Deliver dynamic therapy within both individual and group sessions
- Provide consultative advice and training to staff on communication and language strategies, as needed
