Desired Background and Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid Florida SLP license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates considered
• Prior experience working with pediatric and school-age populations is advantageous
• Proficiency developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each students needs
• Provide direct speech and language intervention and track student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to maximize student success
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and professional development opportunities
• Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Support and educate caregivers on strategies for generalization and carryover of skills
