Preferred qualifications and expertise:

  • Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current, valid Florida SLP license and ASHA CCCs
  • Previous experience in school environments preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable engaging with diverse student populations across age groups
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students referred to services
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions that align with students' education goals
  • Provide direct and consultative therapy in group and individual settings
  • Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to support student success
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress tracking
  • Participate in IEP meetings, provide recommendations, and guide staff on best practices
  • Adapt and modify therapy techniques based on student progress and needs
