Step into a dynamic opportunity working with K-12 students for the 2026-2027 academic year as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Fort Benning/Columbus, GA region. This contract role offers flexibility, with both part-time and full-time schedules available based on your preferences and the districts needs, and will run from August 3rd, 2026, through May 21st, 2027 (with possible pre/post planning days).
Ideal candidates will bring expertise in school-based speech-language pathology, supporting a diverse student population in meeting their communication and learning goals.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Georgia SLP License and GaPSC Educator certification
- ASHA CCC required; SLP-CFYs will be considered
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred, including IEP collaboration and caseload management
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Willingness to work fully onsite (no virtual positions available)
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Conduct therapy sessions and monitor student progress throughout the school year
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and special education staff to ensure comprehensive student support
- Maintain accurate documentation, compliance with state and district guidelines, and contribute to IEP development
- Engage with families to promote student growth and progress
