Job Description
Empower students to reach their full communication potential in an engaging school-based speech-language pathologist role. Work collaboratively in an educational setting, providing essential speech and language services to help children thrive academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible state licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred, though Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will be considered
- Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric populations
- Background in both educational and healthcare speech therapy settings valuable
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments to identify speech, language, and communication challenges among students
- Design and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each childs needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success
- Provide direct therapy using evidence-based practices in both group and one-on-one formats
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Engage in IEP meetings, contribute to goal setting, and offer recommendations for continued growth
- Stay current with latest research and techniques in school-based speech-language therapy
